Title really says it all. The third trimester is equally as bad as the first, except you also have to add on the anticipation that any day now, could actually be your last. For those of you who aren't aware, I was in an accident a few years back where an SUV t-boned me right at my right hip while I was on a bike. I've had some muscular issues with it since then, but all and all I was much better...until I hit third trimester. It seems as though the accident has come back to kick my butt once again. The extra weight combined with all of the skeletal changes that come with being pregnant, have flared my long lost injuries. I can hardly walk 5 minutes before my right hip begins to feel as though someone is sticking a hot poker into my side. My circulatory system in my right leg is also compromised, so the swelling causes my leg to go numb. That combined with all the other lovely (sarcasm!) things pregnancy brings about is really making the last leg of this race quite cumbersome. Luckily it's close to the end. My little parasite is also a tiny dancer. He enjoys skiing, jumping, kick boxing, dancing, Xtreme sports, all within the safety of my uterus. Fun.
Things are developing well, and my doctor continues to be happy about my boring pregnancy.

Well like they say all good things must come to an end but with it will be something better. You too funny sis. Almost there.
ReplyDeleteGood things? All things come to an end and that is my only comfort. YES! Almost there.
DeleteExtremely sports, very apt description! Soon he will be stuck upside down with his toes jammed into your ribs. :) Sorry to hear about your hip injury flaring up. Glad babe is doing well.
ReplyDeleteGah, autocorrect! Xtreme sports. :)
DeleteOh he is engaged. He has been in that position for about 5 weeks now, with only once and a while moving into a lateral position....to ya know, stretch his calves or do a back flip...something. But for about two weeks now, he has found head down, booty up is his favorite position. The OB says it's a good thing, cause it means he is ready. I know I'm ready.
