The LO Rider Keeps Growing

This week we decided on a nickname for the little parasite, LO rider. I think I'll start playing the song and make it their paean. Just to update you on the genetic testing, everything looks boringly normal. I know I haven't done the whole belly bump pictures, but a few of you would like to see it...so.....this post is for you.

I am officially into the second trimester, and I am FEELING SO GREAT!!!!!!!!! What a relief, first trimester is a rough ride that seems like it'll never end, and then BAM it stops. I am grateful that it stopped, I know that for some women the awful sickness last all 9 months. I don't know if I'd make it out of that with my sanity intact. I've got a new appreciation for my mother, however she keeps telling me how easy her pregnancy was with me and I can't help feeling a little green. What a beautiful day today 65F and sunny, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.

1st trimester BUN test

Just got back from our first trimester combined screen (checking for some genetic disorders). The results for the blood test will not be available for about a week, but the results from the ultrasound look good! They are also pretty good pictures. The baby did not want to cooperate for some of the pictures, so the ultrasound took quite a while and we saw it wriggling around quite a bit. It was pretty amazing how well formed it is already. They showed us the arms and legs and I'm pretty sure we saw it suck its thumb as the techs tried to get the pictures. It was crazy, took us both by surprise and overwhelmed us with emotion. Anyway, enough rambling here are the pictures:

UPDATE: The BUN test results are in, and everything looks great! 

My life at 11 weeks, and a gassy dog....

...this is what it looks like. 

The choices were as follows:

1. No mask, but vomit torso and vomit dog.

2. Mask with steamy face.

3. Seclusion from the world, and a sad sad pup.
